Q&A

Will this help me fall asleep at night?

"I have insomnia and anxiety, which make it hard for me to fall asleep at night. I have been using sleeping pills but they dont seem to work as well as they used to… I really dont want to smoke, and am very curious if the Chamomile in this would help like a cup of tea does. Can this evoxe help me to fall asleep faster?"

In recent years, scientists have become increasingly aware of the endocannabinoid systemโ€™s role in regulating sleep. In addition to maintaining a regular sleep pattern, the system, which is responsible for the effects of marijuana, has been identified as a potential target for the treatment of insomnia. Studies show that endocannabinoids increase sleepiness and that insomnia may even be caused by a dysfunctional endocannabinoid system.

A study was published in 1973 by researchers in the United States and involved 9 test subjects that were given varying doses of THC โ€“ 10, 20 and 30mg โ€“ once a week for 6 weeks. Each dose reduced the time it took to fall asleep (sleep latency), with the most effective dose being 20 mg. 20 mg of THC was found to reduce the average time it took patients to fall asleep by more than an hour.

The study also showed that THC could decrease the number of sleep interruptions that insomniacs experience, but only during the early part of the night. THC also seemed to increase the amount of time that patients spent sleeping โ€“ higher doses of THC were correlated with longer periods of sleep.

Interestingly, cannabidiol (CBD) may also offer benefits to patients with insomnia, but without the psychoactive effects that THC is known for. A study published in 1981 involving 15 insomnia patients showed that 160mg doses of CBD led to an increase in the amount of time spent sleeping compared to placebo. The patients that received CBD also experienced less dream recall, suggesting that CBD might also affect REM sleep in the same way as THC.

We’ve had many patients tell us that Deep helps them sleep thanks to the combination of Chamomile, Lavender and Orange, all natural sedatives. Here’s a note we just received on this very topic:

"I have not slept more than 3.5 hours each night for the last 2 1/2 years.. No sleeping drugs or remedies have helped me at all.. I had also never smoked marijuana of any kind in my entire life previous to trying Evoxe pens. But then after I couldnโ€™t handle the lack of sleep exhaustion anymore, I decided to try the blue Evoxe Deep Indica pen. I slept for 14 hours straight, and have been using it to fall asleep every night since! I was shocked at how it worked so well and easily for me, I absolutely love the Evoxe pen!"

Please let us know if it works for you!
