It depends. Just because the voters in Califronia passed legislation for adult use starting January 2, it does not mean that each town, city or county have to have dispensaries. Each one of those locations can decide to have no dispensaries, a dispensary with a adult license, a medical license or both types of licenses. You need to constantly check your specific location to see what they have allowed. These are usually voted on at town meetings where people can give their input to their elected officials.
