Q&A

What to take for horrible chronic eye pain as a result from shingles? Shingles resolved about a year ago.

I am so sorry to hear you have eye pain. First off, please find a "neuro-opthamologist" to evaluate you. Sometimes they give special eyedrops or medications like Neurontin; eyes are so valuable, I would get a "second opinion" about the pain ASAP!!
As far as cannabis, please read this short article: https://www.hellomd.dev/health-wellness/micro-dosing-cannabis-stopped-my-chronic-pain

I would look into hybrid-tinctures (50/50 THC and CBD) and take orally 1 to 3 x a day, like a medication, for a few weeks and see if the pain and inflammation resolve. Some ptients get good relief from the CBD-transdermal patches; one company is called "Pure Ratios" and you can try their products. As far as immediate pain relief, the THC-only edibles like "Terra Bites" can help; they are in doses of 2.5 to 10 mg. I do not recommend taking more than 20 mg in a 24-hour period.Best of luck.
