"I’m experimenting to find a good product for insomnia."
Hello,
While Care By Design makes great products, unfortunately, I don’t believe they specify which type of cannabis they are derived from. However, 4:1 ratio product would be a good place to start; I also suggest you try the 2:1 and 1:1 for insomnia.
I do know that Sensi Chew makes a product which is derived from indica –

Extracted THC is the same substance no matter what the source. It might matter more which other cannabinoids are represented in the extract along with THC. This may relate to the variety of cannabis that has been used to make the extract, but many extracts are from pooled sources. Some people (I am one) also think terpenes, the essential oils found in cannabis, have a lot to do with cannabis effects, along with the CBD:THC ratio. Anyway, the vast majority of cannabis strains now cultivated are hybrids bred to express the various effects that people associate with the "original" Indica and Sativa varieties – eg relaxing and sedating vs energizing and stimulating. You can find products made using specific varieties, and you can find products prepared by extracting specific compounds and blending them. My experience is that most patients find what works best for them after they do a little cautious experimentation.
