Neurological symptoms are managed most efficiently with high CBD to low THC ratio products. It is generally accepted that a 20:1 ratio is a good starting point. Specific strains may have similar ratios, but your best option is to work with a dispensary to receive a product known to have these properties.

There is considerable evidence, both anecdotal and scientific, that cannabis can be helpful for patients with MS. The question of which cannabinoids are most helpful for which patients is far less easy to answer. Because of the excellent lack of toxicity associated with cannabis I would emphasize the safety of cautious experimentation to find what is most helpful for you. At a 20:1 CBD:THC ratio fairly large doses would be required to take a significant amount of THC, and I would suggest remembering that in your experiments you are varying the cannabinoid ratio AND the dose being taken. My MS patients have found more benefit from preparations with a higher proportion of THC, but there is no medical literature to go to for guidance on this issue. If you are using flower I would pay attention to the content of THC and CBD in that strain. I would be sure to include generous amounts of CBD in whatever cannabis preparations you are using.
