Q&A

What is full spectrum CBD? Is CBD from hemp full spectrum?

Full spectrum CBD is CBD that’s derived from the whole plant, whether hemp or cannabis. This means that full spectrum CBD will include a wide range of cannabinoids that are present in the hemp or cannabis plant. Having a wide range of cannabinoids present provides a greater effect rather than just having CBD alone because the cannabinoids all work together and create what’s known as the “entourage effect”.

This also means that CBD from hemp is full spectrum, as long as it’s derived from the full plant. The hemp plant has all of the cannabinoids as well as a trace amount of THC, which is about 0.3%. With such a small amount of THC, there’s virtually no psychoactive effects, but you are still getting the benefits of the entourage effects.
