"Gabapentin is used for people with shingles to calm the nerve endings. One needs to build up a tolerance for it for it to effective. I have been taking 4000mg/day and it works ok. Any more and I get loopy. I am using it for a pinched nerve in my neck caused by a degenerated disk in my neck. It can be very painful. The best medication is a cortisone shot on the nerve, but it doesnโt last forever. "
Hello,
Cannabis helps thousands of people deal with neuropathic pain. In fact, in New York — which has only approved medical cannabis for a very limited number of conditions — 41% of medical cannabis patients are being treated for neuropathic pain (by far the most commonly treated condition).
https://neuropathyjournal.org/cannabis-use-neuropathic-pain-part-1-of-3/
There is also a significant amount of research which has shown that "Sativex’ — an oromucosal spray with equal parts of THC and CBD — can effectively reduce neuropathic pain.

I would likely recommend a 1:1 product, such as
https://www.cbd.org/products/cbd-sublingual-spray or https://kivaconfections.com/products/bars/ginger,
and a 50/50 cream, such as
https://apothecanna.com/products/extra-strength-relieving-creme or https://drkerklaan.com/products/pain-cream
*Please consult with a physician before starting medical cannabis treatment regimen
