Q&A

What does "activating" a tincture mean?

"I have a Prana 2 tincture for anxiety. It’s recommended to activate it using heat. What’s the difference in effect taking it activated or not?

"

It sounds like it might be a tincture that has cannabinoids in their acid form therefore you need to heat them in order to convert them over to CBD or THC.
CBDA is thought to be:

Anti-inflammatory
Anti-nausea
Antioxidant
Painkiller
Anti-proliferative
Antibacterial/antimicrobial

When heated the acid molecule drops off and it is converted to CBD (cannabidiol) which has many benefits, one of them is anti-anxiety. Having not seen the bottle and instructions it is hard to say….
