Hi there!

Although recreational sales of cannabis have been made legal in most of Oregon, there are still some areas of Oregon that require a medical marijuana card. This is also true for patients in your position, that are under the recreational age of 21.

If you are interested in obtaining a medical card in Oregon, you will need to have met with your doctor in the last two years. Your doctor should be aware if you have one of the qualifying conditions to be approved for medical marijuana. Some of these conditions include severe pain, severe nausea, seizures, cachexia, glaucoma and cancer.

Once your physician says you have been approved for a medical marijuana card, you must upload your recommendation to the Oregon Medical Marijuana Online System. You will receive temporary papers that will allow you to purchase medical marijuana while you are awaiting your approval.

For more information on Oregon’s medical marijuana program, you can click here: https://www.oregon.gov/oha/PH/DISEASESCONDITIONS/CHRONICDISEASE/MEDICALMARIJUANAPROGRAM/Pages/index.aspx

I hope this information helps! ๐Ÿ™‚
