Q&A

I need a pain patch that does not get me high, what can you recommend?

"I need it for daytime pain control while at work."

Hello,
There are cannabis infused topical creams and transdermal patches that are effective for pain relief. Cannabis infused lotions and other transdermal methods work by binding to receptors called CB2 found throughout the body. With most topicals, cannabinoids can’t reach the bloodstream. They only penetrate to the system of CB2 receptors. Transdermal patches, however, do deliver cannabinoids to the bloodstream and could have psychoactive effects with a high enough THC content. It would be safe to use THC-rich topical lotions since you wouldn’t receive the psychoactive effects. If you are interested specifically in a transdermal patch then I would seek one CBD rich/dominant.
