"I travel a lot and need cannabis to sleep but don’t want to carry. How can I find the right vape that will allow me to sleep like the flowers do at home?"
My understanding is that the vape pens miss out on the terpenes and the terpenes affect the taste and smell as well as the effect of the Cannabis so this may account for the difference that you notice when you use a vape pen versus smoking flower.

@DrOlson mentioned one of the main differences between cannabis flower and most vaporizers. We use Essential Oils which are cocktails of terpenes, the directive elements of the cannabis flower that are often lost in favor of higher THC potency during extraction, to customize each of our vaporizers to create the feeling people want when they choose various types of cannabis. For sleep, we primarily recommend our DEEP pen which blends Lavender, Chamomile and Orange essentials to create a relaxing and soothing experience, as well as our BALANCE or BALANCE+ vaporizers that have no psychoactive effect, but have been reported to act as sleep aids, as well as anti-inflammatories and general pain and stress relief.
One more thing to consider is that when you smoke flower, you’re inhaling the burning plant matter (leaves, stems, etc.) which if it’s being lit directly from a lighter (at temps up to 3,590โ) or smoldering (at temps up to 1,100โ) creates the smoke that is missing from vaporized cannabis. Our vaporizers create heated air at a much lower temperature, only enough to activate the various cannabinoids and terpenes, and that process doesn’t create any smoke from combustion like you experience with flower or tobacco. This smoke itself does likely impact the overall experience, but by all accounts it’s a very unhealthy delivery system because of what it does to the lungs and the body over time.
