How old must you be to obtain a medical cannabis certification in New York?

Hi there! Under New York law, patients under the age of 18 must have a parent, legal guardian, or parent/legal guardian’s designee who is over 21 years of age submit their application for them. Please note that HelloMD’s New York telehealth consultation service is only available to patients 18 years of age or older.

There is no age limit for a patient who has a certified qualifying condition. Patients who are under 18 require a parent or legal guardian to sign up as the caregiver for the patient.
