Unfortunately there is no definitive answer and ultimately would be up to the caregiver/dispensary/collective you are getting it from. SB 420 states that a medical marijuana patient can possess up to 8 ounces of dry cannabis and be legal. The Kelly decision confirmed that these limits are unconstitutional and that it is up to the patient themselves to determine how much cannabis they need. Complicating matters, the MMRSA (Medical Marijuana Regulation and Safety Act), which took effect January 1 2016, did away with dry weight amounts entirely. As a physician I would recommend you purchase the least amount that you need for your condition and then go back as often as you need to. With delivery services now this is not longer as big a inconvenience. If you do need to stock up, 8 ounces is a good place to stop. Why give law enforcement any more reason to unjustly hassle you.
