Unfortunately, Alabama has very strict laws that prohibit the possession and use of marijuana.
Alabama does have a medical CBD (cannabidiol) law that permits the use of marijuana extracts that are high in CBD and low in THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) to treat severe and debilitating epileptic conditions.
Interestingly, Alabama has a very active hemp industry; hemp is a variety of the cannabis sativa L. plant that contains less than 1% THC, which is the main psychoactive component of marijuana. Hemp can be used to make clothing, foodstuffs, animal feed, etc.
