"I’m confused about ratios, percentages and amounts?"
There are a lot of factors that go into an answer that is specifically geared to you: fill out our free strain recommendation form, and I’ll email you with strains and ratios, suggested dosing and possible consumption methods based on research from clinical trials and other peer reviewed publications.
https://sessionscc.com/strain-recommendation/
We’ll ask questions about:
- your condition
- your medical history
- your historical cannabis use
- your metabolism
You may try a few strains before you find the ideal fit, but once you do, you’ll be very (very) happy!

It’s always great to start with a small, micro-dosing amount of 5mg. The suggestion is to wait 45 minutes – 1 hour to see if the desired effect is reached. If not, add on another 5 mg until desired effect is reached.
With tinctures, I’ve found MoxieMeds 1:1 (CBD:THC) is amazing for pain and the 4:1 (CBD:THC) is a great health boost + helps with anxiety.

Ratios, percentages, and amounts all refer to different things. Ratios refer to the ratio of various compounds in a formula. For example, a 1:1 CBD to THC product will be even in how much CBD or THC is in a product. A 20:1 CBD to THC product will be high in CBD, low in THC (CBD and THC do different things, see other questions on this page for details). Percentages can refer to what percent of a formula is medicated. Or it can also refer to ratio – 50% CBD, 50% CBD would be a formula that is split with a 1:1 ratio, for example.
The primary thing you want to look for in dosing is the amount in MG. Products should tell you how many MG of CBD or THC is in a certain amount of the product. It may tell you there are 10MG of THC in the whole product, so then you know that one-tenth of the product is 1MG. In order to start your cannabis experiments it is important to "start low, go slow". Start with 1-2 MG, wait an hour, and see how you feel. Noting down how many MG of CDB or THC you consumed and how you felt will help you adjust and figure out what works best for you for various conditions.
I also explain this in more detail in the video answer on this page! Check it out for additional information.
