Many preparations of cannabis are helpful for fibromylagia. I would try a whole plant tincture extract with CBD and THC, applied under the tongue. Topical creams and trans-dermal patches can also provide localized relief. Inhaled cannabis has a faster onset for immediate relief.

Fibromyalgia is a tricky pain condition that I’ve seen many cases since my pain mgmt training days. Current literature/ evidence based medicine usually state that fibromyalgia training has three "legs": 1) Analgesia/ pain relief: Dr. Vanderveer has excellent ideas listed below 2) Daily , mild, low/non-impact physical activity & exercise (i.e. swimming, aqua-aerobics). I’ve also started to have many of my patients institute tai-chi 3) Behavioral therapy modification: because of the complex nature of fibromyalgia pain, there is a growing body of evidence that this treatment arm is as important as the analgesia and the mild exercise. I hope that this helps out and if you have further queries, please send them through our HelloMD support staff and I’ll see if I can get to it. Good luck!
