Q&A

Does CBD oil interact with other medications?

"I am trying to figure out the contraindications of Charlottes Web CBD Oil and some of my moms medications. She can not find a doctor that will work with her on this. Here is her current medications: atorvastati, triamterene, plendil, folic acid, turmeric, coQ10, d3, glucosamine chondroitin. She also does have wine at night with dinner & I have heard you shouldn’t combin CBD oil and alcohol. Any help is much appreciated. "

Hello,
There are exactly zero contraindications. However, CBD can possibly — when extremely high doses are taken — alter how some medications are metabolized.
CBD is safe to take with alcohol as well. In fact, cannabis has been shown to significantly lower the odds of developing alcoholic cirrhosis.
