Does cannabis help osteoporosis, and if so, in what way?

There are cannabinoid receptors on bone cells that BUILD bone, which would in theory help with bone density. However, there aren’t studies that can demonstrate how much effect it has on osteoporosis in humans, so it’s hard to say if cannabis could replace a medicine like Fosamax.
