Q&A

CBD or THC?

"Hello, I have been using cannabis for chronic pain for some time as a result of encephalitis (LYME). My daily symptoms include (neuropathic) headaches, sleep disturbances, neurocognitive disorders, psychological problems, and more. Cannabis with (higher) THC helps me like no other medicine in the world. However, cannabis acts only for few hours then all symptoms come back. On the Internet, I read that the main difference between THC and CBD is that THC substitutes a function of natural "receptors" (works only symptomatically), but CBD restores their function (works currativelly). Unfortunatelly a dose of CBD does not give me any relief. My question is: is it please possible that my symptoms might gradually disappear with long-term therapy only on CBD or do I have to keep combine with THC to feel the effect?"

Well, as far as I’ve experience the CBD product, it gave me really good relief from my symptoms.
I would like to say that if you want relief permenantly, you should wait and watch. CBD may give you temperory effect on your symptoms, but it will surely cure your diesease.
Talking about THC, I really suggest you not to take the CBD product which include THC. Because THC simply makes you high and is illigel as well.
You can take any CBD product which contains less than 0.3% THC.

I suggest you to take Green Roads World’s CBD Oil (https://www.greenroadsworld.com/collections/cbd-cannabis-oils) for that.

Unfortunately there is no 1 size fits all with cannabis and no ‘silver bullet’. Most often symptom relief for any medical condition comes by slowly figuring out what combination of products, cannibinoids and possible ratios work for you. Many people believe that CBD is more effective when used in combination with THC and all the other cannbinoids-CBN, CBG, THCA and so on. This is called the entourage effect. THC can be very minimal and not cause a psychoactive high, especially when in combination with CBD.

In my experience talking with people, LYME is most often ‘cured’ by something other than cannabis-alternative treatments, etc. People I have spoken with indicate that cannabis is best for symptom relief for the inflammation, insomnia and pain associated. I am not a doctor but I would caution you if anyone says cannabis is a cure for your medical condition. I like to say it is a tool for potential health and wellness when used appropriately.
