In New York a medical cannabis card is required in order to purchase cannabis derived CBD.
CBD derived from hemp has the same molecular structure as does CBD derived from cannabis. However, I recommend cannabis derived CBD. Hemp typically contains far less CBD than high CBD cannabis strains, so a much higher amount of hemp is required to obtain similar amounts of CBD, which increases the chances of a contaminated end-product.
Furthermore, hemp derived CBD products are devoid of many of the terpenes and secondary cannabinoids contained in cannabis derived CBD products, and therefore would not provide the same enterouge effect as CBD end products which were derived from cannabis.
