Q&A

Can you use the vaginal suppository while menstruating?

"Does it dissolve quickly enough so it isn’t flushed out by menstrual flow? "

Using a vaginal suppository while menstruating should not present a problem but it would be ideal to use it the evening before you expect your menses to arrive. Using the suppository a little bit ahead of time should stop the inflammatory cells that create painful periods. It is so much nicer to use the suppository, have a nice relaxing evening and start your menses the next day with reduced pain. Yoga may be helpful also.

Yes. Absolutely! The Foria Relief suppository takes about 10-15 minutes to melt and for the medicine to absorb, so if you use tampons with your menstruation, it is better to wait at least 15 minutes after inserting the suppository before you insert a tampon. It would be a shame if the tampon absorbed the medicine! ๐Ÿ™‚ It is also a good idea to lay down while the suppository melts and absorbs.
