Q&A

Can smoking cannabis for any length of time cause stroke or heart attack?

Smoking of ANY substance leads to inhalation of carbon monoxide as well as other noxious products of combustion, which generally impair your heart’s ability to use oxygen. Unfortunately there aren’t good studies that show exactly what the risk is, because often people who smoke marijuana also smoke cigarettes, and it can be difficult to separate out the risks.
