Q&A

Can marijuana edibles cause digestive problems, e.g. cause stomach pain or stomach upset?

Symptoms of digestive conditions like IBS and Crohn’s have been found to be helped by cannabis, but you may want to check the ingredients of the edible products you are using to make sure you don’t have any intolerances. You may also want to try smaller doses of edibles until you find your Minimum Effective Dose (MED). This will allow you to find the best dosage for your condition with the least amount of side effects.

Agreed with Team Kiva. Sometimes cannabis makes me feel dizzy and nauseous, but my research and experience has lead me to believe that I sometimes experience a blood sugar drop when I ingest cannabis on an empty stomach! Which I believe because I’ll drink a cup of juice or something and it goes away quickly. So find your minimum effective dose, 5-10 milligrams is a good starting point, and do it with some food in your stomach.
