Q&A

Can juicing cannabis leaves help rosacea?

"I have had rosacea for about 16 years now and tried everything. as I live in Europe I cannot buy ReLeaf cream – do you think juicing fresh leaves could be helpful? Can I apply the juice topically, maybe mixing it in microdoses to coconut oil?"

Whether its topical (applied directly to the skin), or systemic (oral), the therapeutic effect of cannabis can be a treatment for rosacea. Cannabinoids, are powerful antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents. In its raw form, the cannabis plant contains both THCA (Tetrahydrocannabinolic-acid) and CBDA (Cannabidiolic-acid), two cannabinoids known for their medicinal benefits. Leaves for juicing should be picked from plants well into flowering stage. Topical application of cannabis and cannabis-related skin products would be more beneficial in the treatment of rosacea. Hemp seed oil is also another popular alternative used in the treatment of rosacea symptoms. Another great topical alternative is cannabis oil, which is rich in vitamins particularly B1, B2, B3, B6, C, D and E. The high omega 3 and omega 6 content both promotes circulation. By promoting circulation, applying cannabis oil can be effective in reducing the symptoms of rosacea.
