This recipe calls for cannabutter as the best way to infuse the gravy. If you’ve never made it yourself, don’t worry: Our cannabutter recipe will walk you through the surprisingly easy process.

The effects of the gravy will vary depending on the amount and strain of cannabis you use to make your cannabutter. If you want an energizing high to combat post-meal fatigue, try a sativa like Durban Poison. If you’re looking for something a bit more relaxing to fight off holiday stress and anxiety, try an indica like Granddaddy Purple. For those who are a bit more THC-sensitive and looking for a less psychoactive experience, invest in a high-CBD strain like Cannatonic to help fight inflammation, anxiety and body aches.
Meat-Based Cannabis-Infused Gravy
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup cannabutter
- 1 tsp coarse-ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup flour (gluten-free flour works well if needed)
- 2 tbsp fresh sage, chopped
- 4 cups of turkey drippings from roasting pan (use chicken or turkey stock if no drippings are available)
How To
Melt the cannabutter in a large saucepan over medium to high heat and then add the black pepper and sage. Next, slowly add the flour while whisking the mixture continuously. Once the flour is fully incorporated, add the turkey drippings or stock. Whisk until all ingredients are fully integrated and the mixture is smooth. Let the gravy cook for a couple of minutes, or until it achieves the desired consistency and thickness.
