Do patient medical marijuana certifications expire in Ohio?
Yes. A patient or caregiver registration is valid from the date it is issued and expires one year later, on the last day of the month it was issued.
Can I get a renewal of my medical marijuana certification in Ohio?
The medical marijuana card you receive through Ohioโs Patient & Caregiver registry has to be renewed each year, with another Telehealth consultation with the qualified HelloMD medical practitioner. Patients will not receive an automated email from the Registry with a link to renew their registration. They will have to log into the Registry themselves, and receive a new physician recommendation.

A certified physician can recommend up to a 90-day supply of medical marijuana with three refills (totaling up to 360-day supply if appropriate for the patient).
What forms of medical marijuana are allowed in Ohio?
Under Ohioโs medical marijuana law, the forms of medical marijuana that can be dispensed include oils, tinctures, plant material, patches. Vaping is allowed, but smoking cannabis, even for medical reasons, is not.
What dosage amounts of medical marijuana are allowed in Ohio?
