Q&A

Can cannabis help to breakdown calcium oxalate kidney stones?

Marijuana could be helpful for pain control while passing a stone, but I am not aware of any studies that correlate marijuana with kidney stone formation or breakdown. There are cannabis receptors in bone cells that form bone tissue, so there is some interplay with calcium levels, but after searching for research articles, I can’t find any research that addresses your particular question.
