Hi! There is nothing in CA law that requires you to present a document with a gold stamp. Under CA law, a doctor’s letter is sufficient; this could be written on a prescription pad or a scrap of paper! However, as you found out, some dispensaries create their own rules about what types of documents they want to accept. The day you were approved through HelloMD a PDF version of your letter was available for immediate download, and we also mailed you a gold embossed letter and photo ID card. This is because we realize some collectives may expect such a document; please allow a few business days for it to reach you. Generally, we do find that delivery services are more flexible than storefront dispensaries with the types of documents they choose to accept.
