There is no time frame for using cannabis after, or before, surgery. This applies to all methods of use except for vaping and smoking flower only because the later two can cause some lung irritation that can result in coughing if general anesthesia is used.
For all type of cannabis that you use, you need to adjust the amount of product that you use to the effect that you feel. Going low and slow is the way we instruct all people to use cannabis. It has been shown to greatly decrease the amount of opioids that you need for pain relief and to stop your opioid use altogether.
