Q&A

What would be the best thing to treat a debilitating stutter?

"My son is 11 and suffers from all 3 forms of stutter yes he sees a speech pathologist at school but is only allowed the bare minimal time required by the state because he’s not mentally disabled but only physically in their eyes…Is there a product he can use that I can get in the state of Texas that could help him in any way… I’ll do anything to help him there isn’t much that can be done and I refuse to let my son become a statistic due to bullying and depression…We need your help I’m open to any and all suggestions."

Hello. I know that this is a very stressful situation for you and your son. My suggestion would be to continue the school therapy and possibly add on an outside therapist to supplement the school therapy. Also there are things that can be done in the home to further assist. For suggetions go to https://www.stutteringhelp.org and https://www.stutteringspecialists.org. They may be helpful for your son and your family. Best wishes.
