Q&A

What type oral product and what dose is recommended for partially controlled siezures in a 45 year old female?

There are many studies in support of CBD for patients with epilepsy. Products with CBD are best supported by the literatue to have helped patients with uncontrolled seizures. We typically stay away from cannabis products with THC in this patient population as it can potentially reduce the seizure threshold. CBD may also have potential drug interactions with certain anti-seizure medications such as Onfi or Valproic Acid so please make sure to report all anti-seizure medications and the details or your conditions when consulting with a HelloMD provider.
