CBD oil and Effexor, side effects?

"I’ve been taking Effexor 50 mg once a day for about 4 years now, and I’m wanting to try CBD oil. I wanted to know if there’s any side effects from taking the two together. I want to eventually get off of effexor and was looking for other avenues to go down. "

It is safe to use cannabis with Effexor. Possible effects that may occur in conjunction are: Effexor, a SNRI (serotonin- norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor), may increase the affect and duration of cannabis; in rare cases using a SNRI plus cannabis can lead to a psychotic event described as mania (usually via edibles or with Bipolar disorder).
