Many patients on anti-seizure medications are wondering if CBD preparations might help them reduce or discontinue their pharmaceutical treatment. First, your neurologist needs to be on board with trying this. Without knowing why you are on that medicine I can’t say much else at this point. Typically, you would try build up a CBD level by taking it regularly for a while before trying to lower your Keppra dose under the neurologist’s supervision. Because there is no practical way to monitor CBD levels in the body (we don’t even know how much to take to achieve a given level) if you currently require the Keppra to be seizure-free this is not something to undertake lightly. I suggest bringing it up with your neurologist and not trying it on your own.
