Q&A

I recently purchased some cannabis oil, can I make an edible with it?

You can, but it depends on the kind of oil you’ve purchased. Generally, cannabis oil products that are intended for ingesting are safe to use in cooking. Just make sure that your recipe includes a fat or oil such as butter or vegetable oil, and a sweetener to offset the cannabis oil’s bitter taste. Cannabis oils that are made for topical applications may not be safe for making edibles, though. That’s because these oils may have been extracted using toxic chemicals, or they may contain other ingredients that make them risky for consumption.
