Durban Poison is one of my all time favorite strains, and comes from my home town of Durban in South Africa.

Its a strong sativa strain, and yes, it does indeed help with pain in the same way that other strains commonly do to.
When selecting a strain for pain, a better question is what form of consumption you favor, between smoking, vaporizing, eating (edibles), tinctures, topicals’ and others. Each of these will have different effects on your pain. In my opinion the specific strain is less of a consideration, unless you are choosing between heavy CBD strains (less psychoactive) and heavy THC strains (more psychoactive). In this case, Durban Poison is one of the stronger sativa’ in terms of THC, and will definitely have psychoactive effects.
