Q&A

What is the difference between hemp oil and CBD? Is there a difference?

"I’ve also heard about PCR and that that is CBD. Is this true?"

There are several differences between CBD oil and hemp derived oil. CBD oil is extracted from the actual cannabis plant, whereas hemp derived oil is extracted from the seeds of the hemp plant. The seeds of a hemp plant contain very low levels of CBD when compared to a cannabis plant, which can have high levels of CBD.
Hemp derived oil is used mainly for health benefits, while CBD oil is used medicinally. Hemp seeds are high in Omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin E, and other beneficial aspects.
PCR oil stands for Phytocannabinoid rich oil. PCR oil does contain CBD, however the two are not necessarily the same. CBD oil contains a concentrated form of CBD derived from the cannabis plant, whereas PCR oil is a full-spectrum oil, that contains trace amounts of CBD, THC, THCA, CBDA, all the other terpenes and chemicals that can be found in the cannabis plant, in order to provide a widespread medical effect, known as โ€œThe entourage effect.โ€
