Last week, HelloMD hosted an event called Scents & Sensuality in San Francisco at the Phoenix Hotel, where rock legends like Neil Young and Debby Harry stayed in years past.
The evening featured cannabis brands Marley Natural and Garden Society, essential oils producer doTERRA, and psychotherapist and sexuality expert Meriana Dinkova. After mingling and learning more about cannabis and the plantโs various aromas and scents, guests were treated to a short talk from Meriana about how marijuana can make for a more sensual time in the bedroom.

Guests began the evening with a cocktail hour where they were able to talk to representatives from Marley Natural about their high-quality cannabis flower; cutting-edge vape cartridges, including one featuring the hard-to-find cannabinoid delta-8 tetrahydrocannabinol; and gorgeous eco-friendly wood accessories.
Learning About Cannabis Terpenes
Garden Society (pictured above right), maker of gourmet cannabis edibles, set up a terpene and scent station with help from doTERRA (above left). Guests learned about different terpenes in cannabis, such as:
- Citrusy and uplifting limonene
- Musky and spicy myrcene
- Earthy and sweet pinene
- Floral and soothing linalool
- Earthy and zesty beta-caryophellene

By smelling the essential oils that contain the same terpenes as different marijuana strains, guests began to understand the various components of the cannabis plant and how terpenes, along with cannabinoids like tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD), combine to impart certain effects.
By better understanding terpenes and how to identify them when buying cannabis and cannabis products, folks will be able to choose the marijuana that provides the effects that they want, helping them avoid some cannabis trial and error.
Marijuana for a Better Time in the Bedroom
After the educational happy hour, Merina took to the stage to share how she discovered cannabis helped her in the bedroom. For her and many of her clients, marijuana not only relaxes the body and mind, but also allows them to be more present in the moment to truly connect with their partner.
