Q&A

How long does my New York medical marijuana certification last if I am approved?

By law in New York, certification must be renewed at least yearly. However, if the practitioner feels that follow up is warranted before then, it’s at their discretion to approve for less time.

Certifications in the Empire State will last for one calendar year from the date of your certification meeting.

Patient certification is valid for up to one (1) year, but the physician can designate less time based on their medical opinion.
