Q&A

Is it safe to use cannabis while taking 75mg Nortriptyline daily?

Short answer: If you suffer from anxiety or depression, I would recommend High CBD/Low THC ratio.

Long answer: There are only a few published studies that examine how cannabis and antidepressants may interact. With Nortriptyline being a tricyclic antidepressant, the reported undesirable side effects are higher than with newer antidepressants. Low doses of THC have been reported to produce desirable effects, however, high doses of THC can increase anxiety. Also, CBD counteracts many adverse effects of THC. There is significant preliminary evidence that suggests that CBD may be useful to combat anxiety, depression, and other psychiatric disorders. If you suffer from anxiety or depression, I would recommend High CBD/Low THC ratio.
